After spending countless hours shopping online and shopping from store to store in our town, we were unable to find a ferret carrier that fit our needs. We had a very specific idea in our minds of what we wanted in a pet carrier and nothing available seemed to fit the bill completely... Until NOW!

Recently, Jackie and I had to take Cooper to the vets for a checkup. Our vet's office is an hour's drive from our home and was to be followed by a visit to my niece's house for dinner. One look at our current pet carrier (i.e. a glorified shoulder bag with mesh sides and no storage space) and we knew this would not do for an extended trip away from home. We needed something that could house Cooper comfortably and SECURELY like an airline type cat carrier but also provide space for his food, water, potty, treats and our other ferret "essentials". If needed, the Millennium can be used to keep your fuzzy housed for a day or more so having a place to keep lots of food, treats, medications and other ferret "stuff" is important. Just remember to let your fert out for play and exercise time. The trays can be opened without opening the main cage to refill, replace or remove items.

Small diameter wire mesh eliminates ANY chance of your carpet shark getting a paw stuck and is strong enough to prevent curious dogs, cats, mice, squirrels and most other intruders from harming your pet. An added benefit of small squares? Your ferret can not reach his legs through them to grab drapes, scratch or bite a curious child's nose or get his paw bitten off by an inquisitive cat or dog.
A single window on one end provides excellent ventilation while also providing a darker retreat for your ferret on the opposite side thus helping your pet feel more secure and relaxed when away from home or at the vets.
Most commercial carriers are too "open" for ferrets, which are burrowing animals by nature, and they can make your pet nervous and anxious. Commercial carriers are great for airline regulations, but not the best choice for all other times when your ferrets comfort, happiness and security are at stake.
